You know, until recently, I was convinced blogging was only for 14 year old girls with emotional problems or the odd drunken rant (which I usually can’t tell the difference between)… so we’ll see how this goes, shall we?
A short intro: My name is Jenn, and I am an aspiring screenwriter. I like animated movies, the color green, long drives in the middle of the night, and the Muppets. You will need to know that. Maybe.
In order to fully confess to my workaholism, I suppose I should probably talk about my projects. I’m currently doing three things: Drafting out a new feature script and a television pilot, revising another feature, and producing a film. If you cringed at that list, you’re probably sane.
The thing I’m most excited about, and will now be devoting the rest of this post to, is the new feature, even though I haven’t gotten very far with it at all yet. It’s about a 12 year old boy, Joey Fraterni, who dreams of leaving his home in Boston to make it big on Broadway. At first, I thought about making it a musical (so meta), but then I, thankfully, realized how terrible that could be and resisted the urge to throw a book at myself. So, I’m still trying to settle on a style to really make the story come to life and let the audience fall absolutely in love with this kid, especially since it’s not exactly groundbreaking territory. That, however, is as much as I have to tell you now. When I iron out more details, this will probably be the first place to have them. You know, since you’re obviously on the edge of your seat about this already.
In the interest of keeping this kind of short, I’ll save updates about/descriptions of the other projects for more posts. Stick around!
